Where Can I See Your Jewellery?
In Auckland, you can book a personalised private meeting in Ponsonby from Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm.

How long will it take to receive my order?
All custom pieces are completed within 4–6 weeks once the design is approved. If you have a special date or proposal planned, please let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate your timeline.
Are your prices subject to change?
Yes. Prices may change due to fluctuations in gold pricing, diamond availability, or design complexity. Each piece is carefully priced based on its materials and craftsmanship. Your price is secured on the day of full payment or deposit.
Can I include a personal engraving?
Yes. Complimentary engraving such as initials, a date, or a meaningful phrase adds a layer of intimacy to your piece.
If you would like an engraving, please leave the details on the product page when placing your order. Engraving can also be discussed during the custom design process. Engraving is complimentary.
Is bespoke more expensive than buying a ready-made ring?
Not necessarily. At BÓHDAN DIAMONDS, bespoke doesn’t cost more than buying an existing design. Every ring is designed specifically for you, allowing you to choose the diamond, setting and materials that matter most, without compromising on quality.
How does the bespoke process work?
Every BÓHDAN DIAMONDS piece begins with a conversation. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your or your partner’s style, lifestyle, budget and any ideas you already have. I’ll then carefully source diamonds or gemstones that suit your vision and present you with a curated selection.
Once you’ve chosen your stone, we’ll create a detailed model of your ring. You’ll have the opportunity to review every detail before production begins. After your approval, your piece will be handcrafted by our jewellers. The process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design.
Do I need an appointment for a consultation?
Yes. We work by appointment to ensure every client receives dedicated one-on-one time with our designer. Consultations are complimentary and can take place in our Ponsonby studio in Auckland or online via video call.
Can we meet online if I’m not based in Auckland?
Absolutely. Many of our clients are based throughout New Zealand and overseas. Video consultations allow us to discuss your ideas, review diamonds together, look at design references and guide you through the bespoke process from wherever you are in the world.
Can I try on rings during my appointment?
Yes. During your consultation, you’ll be able to try on a selection of rings to explore different diamond sizes, proportions and settings.
Can I use my own diamonds or gemstones?
Yes. We are happy to work with heirloom stones and incorporate them into a new design, giving them a new life while preserving their meaning.
Can you source a specific diamond for me?
Yes. Every diamond is individually sourced to suit your preferences and budget. Whether you’re looking for a particular shape, carat weight, colour, clarity or a rare stone such as an Old Mine cut or a Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond, we’ll curate a selection of carefully chosen options for you.
Each diamond is presented with videos and certification, allowing you to compare and confidently choose the one that’s right for you before your ring is made.
How many design revisions are included?
Most customers approve their design within one or two revisions, but we’ll continue refining the details until you’re completely confident before production begins.
What happens if I don’t love the first design?
That’s completely normal. The first design is simply the starting point. We’ll discuss what you’d like to change and refine the design together. Adjustments such as proportions, setting details, band width and overall profile can all be revised before your ring moves into production.
Can you create a design based on my ideas or inspiration images?
Yes. Whether you have a Pinterest board, saved Instagram photos or just a rough idea in your mind, we can use these as inspiration to create a ring that’s uniquely yours.
Rather than copying another design, we combine your favourite elements with our own design approach to create a piece that reflects your personal style while remaining original.
Can you recreate or customise an existing ring design?
Yes. If you’ve fallen in love with a particular style, we can create a bespoke interpretation inspired by it. We can also customise almost every detail, including the centre stone, setting style, band width, metal, diamond size and proportions, ensuring the finished piece is designed specifically for you.

Can you create a matching wedding band later?
Absolutely. Many of our customers return when it’s time to create their wedding bands. We keep the specifications of your engagement ring on file, making it easy to design a perfectly matching band in the future.
For more intricate designs, we can also professionally scan your engagement ring to ensure the wedding band fits beautifully and comfortably alongside it.
Do you offer payment plans?
Every BÓHDAN order can be split into two payments – a 50% deposit before production begins and the remaining balance when your jewellery is ready for delivery.

How are your rings sized?
BÓHDAN rings follow the UK/AU/NZ sizing scale – see the size guide here Bohdandiamonds Size Guide | Bohdan. If you’re unsure of your size or need help converting from another system, feel free to contact us at info@bohdandiamonds.com. Please note that finger size can change with temperature, time of day, or travel. A good fit should glide on easily and meet gentle resistance at the knuckle.
What if I need to resize my ring later?
We offer one complimentary resizing (within two sizes) within 30 days of receiving your ring. Some BÓHDAN designs, such as Lira or Naya rings, are unique pieces that are always custom made and may not be eligible for resizing. It is important to know your correct size before production begins. Eternity bands such as Veda or Leya are also excluded from complimentary resizing, as this resizing requires adding or removing stones. These pieces can still be resized for an additional charge.
NZ orders are shipped via overnight courier service. A signature is required upon delivery, and all orders are fully insured. Shipping is included.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. BÓHDAN ships worldwide.
International orders are shipped via FedEx or DHL and are fully insured against theft or damage during transit. Once the parcel is signed for, BÓHDAN is no longer liable, so please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.
Orders cannot be placed from, or shipped to russia or belarus.
Will I be charged sales tax or customs duties?
BÓHDAN covers all duties and import taxes for international orders, so your piece arrives without any additional charges upon delivery.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because each BÓHDAN piece is made specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on custom items.

Do you only use lab-grown diamonds?
We work with both lab-grown and natural diamonds, depending on your preferences, budget, and what feels right to you.
All diamonds are ethically sourced from trusted partners. During the design process, we will discuss both options so you feel fully informed and excited about your choice.
Are your diamonds ethically sourced?
Yes. Every BÓHDAN diamond is fully certified by IGI or GIA, ethically sourced, and includes lifetime warranty.
What metals do you offer?
We offer 14K and 18K yellow, white and rose gold, as well as platinum. Every metal has its own character, and we will help you choose the option that best suits your lifestyle, aesthetic and budget.
Every BÓHDAN ring is created to last for generations and comes with a lifetime warranty. If a diamond becomes damaged due to a manufacturing fault, we will replace it. Please note that the warranty does not cover normal wear over time, accidental loss of jewellery, or the loss of diamonds caused by damage during everyday use.
Situations not covered by the lifetime warranty included:
- Changes in metal colour caused by exposure to chemicals, cosmetics, swimming pools, hot tubs, or frequent contact with water
- Prongs gradually wearing down, loosening, or bending through regular wear, which may cause stones to become loose
- Diamonds or gemstones lost due to impact, damage, or natural wear over time
If you notice any issue with your piece, please contact us or return it for inspection.
Once we receive the jewellery, we will carefully examine it to determine the cause of the issue. If it is related to a manufacturing fault, we will repair or replace the piece at no cost.
All BÓHDAN rings include a complimentary annual inspection.
We recommend bringing your piece in once a year so we can inspect the setting, ensure the stones remain secure, and professionally clean the jewellery to restore its brilliance.
We will also assess the overall condition of the ring and advise if any maintenance is recommended. If a repair falls outside the lifetime warranty, we will always discuss the work and any associated costs before proceeding.
Your BÓHDAN piece is made to be worn, loved, and carried through everyday moments, but gentle care will help it remain beautiful for years to come.
Please remove your ring when exercising, gardening, or doing activities that may expose it to impact or rough surfaces.
Avoid contact with harsh chemicals and cleaning products, as these can affect both the metal and the brilliance of the diamond.
Be mindful of your stone and its setting. Even the hardest gemstones can be damaged by a strong knock, and fine settings deserve a little extra care.
With thoughtful care, your ring will continue to shine as a lasting heirloom.
To clean your jewellery at home:
• Soak in lukewarm water with a drop of gentle, non-detergent soap
• Use a soft toothbrush for delicate scrubbing if needed
• Rinse and pat dry with a non-abrasive cloth
